Method

  1. Boil and mash the potatoes. Brown the onion and celery gently in butter.
  2. Combine the potatoes, bread, vegetables, eggs, milk, and seasonings.
  3. Spread in a buttered dish and bake at 350°F until set and browned, 35 to 45 minutes.
