Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Schuylkill Hub. We've written them to be fair and readable: use the Site, quote it, build on our open data — we just ask that you don't copy our original work wholesale or pass it off as your own.

1. Acceptance
By accessing or using schuylkillhub.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. In these terms, "Schuylkill Hub," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Site.
2. About the Site
Schuylkill Hub is a local guide to Pottsville and Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania — events, history, a business directory, food, and the outdoors. The information here is provided for general informational purposes. We work hard to keep it accurate and well-sourced, but we don't guarantee it, and you should verify anything you rely on (see Section 7).
3. Our content and intellectual property
We don't claim to own facts. Individual facts — a business name, address, phone number, an event date, a map coordinate — are not ours, and you're free to use them.
What is ours is the original work we create and the way we put it together: our written guides, descriptions, and editorial content; our photographs and graphics; the Site's design and code; and the selection, arrangement, and compilation of the directory and other collections as a whole. These are protected by copyright as original works and as a compilation, and are © 2026 Schuylkill Hub. "Schuylkill Hub," our logo, and the Anthracite Region Gift Shop name are our trademarks. All rights not expressly granted in these terms or in a license noted on the Site are reserved. For the sources we build on and the credits we owe, see Copyright & Attribution.
4. Our open data feeds
We publish open, machine-readable feeds (for example, our events, directory, and food feeds) because we want the county's information to be found and reused. The factual listing and event data in those feeds is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license — you may reuse it freely, including commercially and to train AI systems, as long as you credit Schuylkill Hub with a link and don't suggest we endorse you. Some data carries its own upstream license (for example, mapping data from OpenStreetMap remains under the Open Database License); those licenses continue to apply and are described on our Copyright & Attribution page.
5. Crawling, indexing, and reuse
We want Schuylkill Hub to be found, quoted, and built upon — by people, search engines, and AI assistants alike.
- Crawlers are welcome to access and index the Site in accordance with our robots.txt file, which is the authoritative statement of what automated access we permit.
- People and tools may quote short portions of our content with attribution and a link back, and may reuse our open feed data under the license above.
- What you may not do is scrape, copy, cache, archive, republish, or redistribute our original content (Section 3) in bulk, or use it to build a competing directory or dataset — except as our robots.txt or a feed license expressly permits, or with our written permission.
6. Acceptable use
When using the Site, please don't:
- copy, cache, mirror, or republish our original content in bulk, or remove or alter any attribution or copyright notices;
- use automated means in a way that places an unreasonable load on the Site, circumvents technical limits, or ignores our robots.txt;
- use the Site, its listings, or its data to defraud, impersonate, harass, or unlawfully market to listed businesses, organizers, or individuals;
- misrepresent your affiliation with Schuylkill Hub or imply we endorse you;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, or disrupt the Site or its security; or
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
We may rate-limit, block, or remove access to anyone who abuses the Site, and we reserve our rights to pursue available legal remedies for serious or repeated misuse.
7. Listings and third-party information
Many listings, event details, hours, and contact details are supplied by third parties or compiled from public sources. A listing is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee, and inclusion or omission implies nothing about a business or organization. Details change — please verify directly with the business or organizer before relying on anything here. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, your dealings with any business, organizer, or advertiser you find through the Site. 8. If you send us something
When you submit a correction, listing, photo, or other content, you keep ownership of it. You grant Schuylkill Hub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, edit, and publish it on the Site and in our feeds so we can run the directory; this license ends if you ask us to remove your content, except for copies already shared in good faith. You confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We're not obligated to publish or keep any submission.
9. Advertising and sponsored content
Schuylkill Hub is supported in part by advertising, including third-party ads (such as Google) and listings or features that businesses pay for. We label paid placements clearly — each is marked "Sponsored," "Ad," or "Paid" on the listing itself. Paid placement does not buy a favorable review or change our editorial judgment. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
10. Services and inquiries
Schuylkill Hub describes professional services (such as web, research, and custom-print services) on the Site. That information is for your convenience and is not an offer or a contract. Any work we do together is governed by a separate written agreement.
11. Disclaimers
THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Historical, archival, and third-party information may be incomplete, dated, or contain errors. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site or its content. To the extent any liability is not otherwise excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of (a) the total amounts you paid us, if any, for access to the Site in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Schuylkill Hub from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right.
14. Links to other sites
The Site links to websites we don't control. We're not responsible for their content, products, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of any linked site is governed by that site's own terms and policies.
15. Changes
We may update the Site and these terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these terms, we'll revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Site.
17. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the notices on our Copyright & Attribution page, are the entire agreement between you and Schuylkill Hub regarding your use of the Site.
