Rabbit Run Reservoir is a small (~5-acre) Tamaqua-owned former water-supply reservoir in the New England Valley of Walker Township. It is a PFBC Stocked Trout Water, stocked with adult trout and supported by an on-site volunteer cooperative nursery run by the Rabbit Run Fish & Game Association.
Fishing is primarily from the bank; alongside stocked trout (with rainbow holdovers), the reservoir holds bluegill, pumpkinseed, brown bullhead, green sunfish, largemouth bass, and golden shiner. An annual kids’ fishing derby is held here. Adjoining land is partly State Game Land 257 and borough property.
Standard PFBC stocked-trout rules apply, and the per-year stocking schedule is set by the Fish & Boat Commission — confirm the current season and any local rules before you go.
