Sunday Sauce and Meatballs

Method

  1. Mix the meats, egg, breadcrumbs, cheese, half the garlic, salt, and pepper; form small meatballs.
  2. Brown the meatballs in oil and set aside. Soften the onion and remaining garlic in the same pot.
  3. Add the tomatoes and basil, return the meatballs, and simmer very gently for 90 minutes. Serve with pasta or crusty bread.
